2024 TRAVEL TEAM

Vortex Club' Girls Volleyball Program is about elevating athletes to perform to the highest level. While club volleyball is absolutely about winning; it is also about discipline, good sportsmanship, molding youth into successful adults, learning true team spirit and respect - of one's self, teammates, coaches and game staff.

Vortex focuses on the experience of growing as a team family into a unit that trusts and loves one another, on and off the court. Each athlete is expected to be reliable, responsible, punctual, prepared, have a positive attitude and high sportsmanship. Attendance, effort, and coachability will have a direct impact on each athlete’s experience and play time.

Vortex works tirelessly to provide a unique experience for parents and athletes; by having team and club activities, new training equipment and a constant effort to ensure the best training possible, we feel we provide the best club value in the state of Utah!

Season Info

2024/2025 National Travel Team Girls Volleyball Club Season Details

Season will begin in November and end in early May. If a team qualifies for AAU Nationals, the season may be extended and additional fees will apply to extend the season to participate in Nationals.

14U-18U Travel Teams $3,150 for 5 local and 2 national qualifiers.

Travel fees to cover coach travel and tournament entry costs of $250 per National Qualifier tournament are included in club team dues. Athlete travel costs are NOT included. All athletes are responsible to get themselves to the tournaments.

If a team qualifies for AAU Nationals, additional fees will apply to extend the season and participate in Nationals. Nationals are held in Orlando, FL.

A deposit of $450 is due upon team registration. This fee will enable the club to reserve my child's spot on the team and register my child to play for club tournaments and order uniforms. Payment plans after initial deposit will begin Sept 1st.

Upon arrival you will be assigned a tryout number and have your picture taken. We will then measure height, reach, and vertical measurements. Then each athlete will complete a 5-10-5 shuttle.

Athletes will then be run through multiple drills to be evaluated on passing, serving, hitting, blocking skills.

Lastly, athletes will be evaluated during game play. Athletes may be asked to try different positions and/or move to other courts as we assess all aspects of skill and athleticism.

Athletes accept their spot by signing a player contract and paying a deposit by the deadline explained in your offer email. Failure to register and pay your deposit will result in offering your placement to another athlete.

*We have chosen to have a closed tryout. We have found it is very challenging for our staff to complete thorough evaluations when being interrupted by well-meaning parents with concerns or questions about their child's current performance or placement on the court. We welcome any parents that would like to enter the facility and ask questions after the completion of the tryout, but parents may not remain in the facility or approach coaches or admin staff once tryouts begin.
